Lessons with Felicity

Hi, I'm Flic and I'd love to help you learn to play an instrument! I have a relaxed approach and lessons would be based on what you want to do.

My aim as a teacher is to help you to get playing music and making music accessible to everyone. I don't specialise in grades, as I feel they can sometimes take the enjoyment out of playing, however, if requested, I can prepare you to a grade standard. I will always include music theory within the lesson so that you can become a musician and not just a master of your instrument!

I'm happy to teach children, I have nursery work experience and NVQ Level 2 in Childcare, Learning and Development.

Why pick Flic?

Felicity is a friendly, fun person who likes to help others, especially helping them get into music! Whether you are 90 or 9, Felicity can tailor the lesson for your requirements.

Felicity is grade eight standard on violin and voice, she was taught by Devorina Gamelova and has a joint honours in Creative Arts, combining Music and Creative Writing, from Lancaster University.

Felicity has recently attained Grade 6 Music Theory and works part time at Britain's folk music specialists, Hobgoblin Music.

To hear some examples of Felicity playing violin, click on the home page, there are extracts of her playing various instruments throughout this site.

"I like to make sure lessons are fun, informative and inspiring; music is to be played and I hope the lessons are an encouragement to play it loud and play it proud! "

Violin - Beginners to intermediate

Piano - Beginners

Prices

Half an hour: £12.50*

*The standard price for learning an instrument by the Musicians Union is £18, I am charging below this to make learning instruments more affordable for everyone. If £12.50 is too much, let me know and I will see what I can do, I wouldn't want cost to prevent someone learning.

From age 3-5: £8 for 15 minutes*

*Children at this age have short attention spans and so in order to get them coming back for more, lessons will be shorter. This can be tweaked per individual depending on how things go.

I'm  afraid I am currently not taking on any new students apologies for any disappointment.

If you are really stuck, look at musicteachers.co.uk for more options.
